Dorothy J. Bennett, 62, Gainesville, FL passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013. The Young Harris, GA native worked at Triple P Trucking in Mayo, FL and was a member of Luraville Baptist Church in Live Oak, FL. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her three daughters: Toya (Robert) Bauer, Gainesville, FL; Susan (James) Gilbert, Yulee, FL, Kelly (Craig) Kise, Marysville, OH; six sisters: Elizabeth Strait, Martha Leake, Mary Vecchione, Margie Winkler, Linda Sanders, Cheryl Higgins; eight grandchildren: Courtney, Silas, Devin, Megan, Austin, Garrett, Cole, Nathan and one great-grandchild: Jace. She is preceded in death by her husband: Dale Bennett and her two brothers: James Higgins and Thomas Higgins. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, April 8th at Luraville Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Kise and Mr. Robert Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice 4200 NW 90th Blvd Gainesville, FL 32606.
