Dad was a tool and dye maker by trade. He enjoyed camping, gardening, woodworking and listening to music. He especially enjoyed building and flying radio controlled aircraft.

Robert L. Tolbert, age 72, of Elwood, IN, died Monday, March 14, 2005, at his residence.
He was born October 13, 1932 to Carl and Ama (Ritchie) Tolbert in Muncie, IN. He married Phyliss Cook on September 17, 1951.
Mr. Tolbert was a retired tool & die maker at Delco Remy.
He was a member of UAW #662, Madison County Flyers R/C, Academy of Model Aeronotics, Converse Flying Eagles, Central Indiana Cadets Chapter 48 and the Muncie Moose Lodge. He was the former Regional Director of District 6 IMAA.
He is survived by his wife, Phyliss (Cook) Tolbert , Elwood, IN; daughters, Gayle (husband, Mike) Shay of Muncie, IN, Vickie Tolbert of Livonia, MI; sons, Robert (wife, Doris) Tolbert of Hemlock, IN, Patrick Tolbert of Virginia Beach, VA, Brad Tolbert of Elwood, IN; grandchildren, Michael & Patrick Shay, Kelly Hardsaw, Christina Weaver, Tricia Adair, Robert Tolbert III, and Carl Tolbert and Joshua Tolbert; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Carl E. Tolbert of Sun City, AZ, Forrest Tolbert of Muncie, IN; sister, Wanda Snider of Muncie, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents,

Arrangements are being handled by Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 South Anderson Street, Elwood, IN, where the family will receive friends from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005.
Funeral service will be at Dunnichay Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005.
Interment will be at Elwood City Cemetery in Elwood, IN.
