Otto (Bud) August Planer, Jr. was the son of Otto August Planer, Sr. and Katherine Moll. He married Mildred Rudine Yarbrough in 1956 in Hancock County, MS. He and Mildred had two children together, a daughter Barbara, and a son, John Otto. John Otto died as an infant and is buried in Hammond, IN at Elmwood Cemetery next to Otto, Sr. and Katherine.
