REINDL, Dorothy "Dottie" Josephine Heckman, 86, of Mansfield, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at Liberty Retirement Community. Born July 3, 1921 in Minster, she was the daughter of Louis and Rose (Horstman) Heckman.

She was formerly employed as a secretary at Reindl Spring Service. Dottie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Joe (Kris) Reindl of Mansfield; daughter, Mary Ann (Thomas) Oatney of Centerville; four grandchildren, Cindy Gause of VA, Leigh Ann Oatney of Portland, OR, Kristi Reindl and Joe Reindl, both of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas Gause; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, James C. Reindl, parents, sister, Alice Romie and brother, Carl Heckman.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m., Friday, October 19 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with a Vigil Service at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Keith McCormack officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund.
