The original spelling of the name was Ziesemer, but some family members took out the middle E.

August was the son of Herman and Bertha (Beohn or Bame) Ziesemer. He was the husband Gladys B. Wetherholt and they lived at 105 Hughes St. in Lockport, IL.

He was employed as a Coke Helper at Texaco Inc.

There has been quite a bit of confusion (especially on Ancestry) with this August Ziesmer, his son August, Jr., and another August Ziesmer/August Ziesemer, all of whom lived in the Will County area. I ordered his death certificate to verify his parents.
