David was a first-generation Italian-American, David had deep roots in the Los Angeles community through his profession as an educator with the Los Angeles United School District for more than 40 years, as well as his affiliations with numerous cultural and philanthropic organizations. He was a beloved husband and father, survived by his wife Juliette, and his two children Preston Aprato and Adrienne Aprato Cantrell. He is preceded in death by his parents Luigi and Maria, as well as his three brothers Joseph, Peter and Louis Aprato.
