'memento mori' inscribed thereon {be mindful of death}. "Epitaphs and Inscriptions" (Andrew Jervise, 1879) description: On the slab are curiously carved mortuary emblems - a skull, mattock and cross bones - and what is more remarkable, a representation of the Holy Coat of Treves flanked by the words "mortui divitie". Round the margin of the stone are these traces of an inscription:- ...VNTVR.IN.DNO.HIC.SPOVS.JOHN. ANDERSONE. AND. MAISTER. ANDRO. ANDERSONE. VI....
