James " Jim" Mitchell passed away September 22,1969 after a battle with cancer. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as an electrician at Wright Patterson AFB.

He was married to Ethel (Sadako) Mitchell who survives. They were married in 1947 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They had two sons, Patrick J. and Michael W. Mitchell. He has three grandchildren, Tana, Kristen and Jason.
