Jean Harris, 89, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, in Brownwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.

Jean will be laid to rest at Cox Cemetery in McCullough County, following the chapel service.

Winna Jean (Willborn) Harris was born Nov. 3, 1924 in Holt, Texas, to Bill and Sally (Chitwood) Willborn.

Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brownwood. Jean, while living in Post, was active with her husband in the various civic activities. She returned to the Brown County area in the late 1970s. Jean had interests in various things, such as square dancing and was a big fan and follower of high fashion.

Jean was preceded in death by four husbands; her son, Gregory Don Penn; six brothers; and four sisters.

Jean is survived by her grandson, Anthony Don Penn and wife Amanda of Electra; four grandchildren, Justin Don Penn and wife Pamela, Cody Anthony Penn, Cayden Anthony Penn and Whitney Penn; three great-great-grandchildren, Brayden Penn, Ethan Penn, and Claire Penn; one sister, Dorothy Jeffries of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
