Born in Brooklyn, New York, on June 5, 1922, he was the son of the late Herman and Helen (Green) Fenichel.
Employed with Boeing Corporation, Mr. Fenichel was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church; a World War II U.S. Army Veteran; a Mobile Meals Volunteer and was active at the Spartanburg YMCA.
Surviving are a sister, Lillian Fenichel Hackel of Manalapan, New Jersey; brother, Fred Fenichel of Lakewood, New Jersey; one nephew, Howard Fenichel; two nieces, Arlene Chowdhuoy and Audrey Blumenfeld and caregivers, Mike and Nora Bishop of Spartanburg.
A requiem for Mr. Fenichel was held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at St. Christophers Episcopal Church, with Rev. Robert H. Long officiating. Burial followed in Heritage Memorial Gardens, Roebuck.
The family received friends at the graveside following the services.
