Uncle Charlie was born in the USA to Hungarian immigrant parents. He lived in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where he married and raised his children. He danced a mean polka.

Charles Francis Kocum, 64, of 71 Oak St., Glastonbury, died Wednesday at Hartford Hospital. Born in Glastonbury, he lived there all his life.

He was employed by the Consolidated Cigar Corp. of Glastonbury until his retirement in January of this year. He was a member of the Glastonbury Sportsman's Club.

He leaves a son, Raymond C. Kocum of Broadbrook; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Eleanor) Montenieri of Glastonbury, Mrs. Patrick (Shirley) Bombanti of Rocky Hill, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Cheney of East Hampton and Mrs. Dennis (Beverly) Hurley of Hazardville; four brothers, Anthony Kocum of Manchester, John Kocum, Frank Kocum and Joseph Kocum, all of Glastonbury; a sister, Mrs. Sherwood (Anna) Welch of Glastonbury; 22 grandchildren and three great grand-children.
