Dennis T. Juneau 54, a resident of Coweta died in a Tulsa Hospital on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. He was born to Chicquita and Royce Juneau on January 10, 1959 in Hartshorne, OK. After spending his childhood years in Dallas, TX, the family returned to Oklahoma; moving to Okmulgee in 1976. Dennis was a graduate from Okmulgee High School with the class of 1978 during which time he was an outstanding football player holding a record of the longest field goal kicked for 19 years. Dennis was a member of the Newtown Methodist Church. Dennis loved to cook. Grilling outdoors with his family and friends was a favorite pastime. He can be remembered as a cook at Taco Mayo and a familiar face while cooking at Okmulgee Creek Nation Casino for many years. Dennis was an avid spectator and participant of many sports of which football, horseshoes, pool and billiards were a few of his favorite. Also a dedicated fan of the Chicago Bears. He was preceded in death by his mother, Chiquita Juneau McNac in 2007, four aunts, one uncle and one niece. Wake services will be on Tuesday at 7 pm at the Newtown Methodist Church, Funeral services will be on Wednesday, 2 PM at the Newtown Methodist Church, and burial in the Tallahassee Family Cemetery.
