Kay was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, Sept. 26, 1921, to John and Virginia Edgerly McMillin. She graduated from Gould Academy in 1940.
Kay enjoyed skiing in her younger years. She golfed at the Bethel Inn and Paris Hill golf clubs. She loved swimming at the head of the lake in Bryant Pond and at Angevine Park in Bethel.
Kay worked at the Hanover Dowel Mill in Bethel until it closed. She also worked for the White Mountain National Forest as a Ranger. Her most treasured job was being a volunteer at the Bethel Animal Hospital for many years. She also served as Sacristan at Our Lady of Snows.
Kay was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Edna Curtis, Jo Monahan, Ethelyn Caillouet and Evelyn Merrill; and brothers, Roderick (Mush) and Frederick.
