Bank robber. Convicted in 1989 of federal bank robbery charges for abducting bank president Dan Short, president of the bank of Noel, Missouri. The banker was forced to open the safe and remove $71,000 and then taped to a weighted wooden chair, taken to a bridge and thrown alive into Grand Lake. The case appeared on the national television show America's Most Wanted. Both Joseph and his brother Shannon were convicted of the crime and Joseph was given a life sentence. He died in prison in a federal prison in North Carolina.
