Elmer E. Adams was born Nov 10, 1848 in Elkhart County, Indiana. He was united to Ida J. Decker in marriage March 30, 1876. To this union were born six children, four boys and two girls: Mrs Lena Martin of Farnan, Fred Adams of Eustis, Earl Adams of Overton, Mabel Bell Moeder of Grand Island, Edward Adams of Coad and George Adams of Lincoln. There are thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Elmer E. Adams enlisted in Regimental Band second infantry Co. and served four and one half years. He became a mason May 5, 1884 at Wauneta, Nebr., where they resided about 10 years. From there to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they resided six years, moving to Frontier county, Nebr., in 1892, where they lived about ten years. They then moved to Coad. They also lived in Lincoln and Grand Island. He returned to Frontier county in 1919, where he resided until his death Febr. 8, 1930. Funeral services were held Monday at the home by Dr. Phillip and interment was made at Cozad.
