BROOKSTON -- Margaret A. Hathaway Cullum, 88, of Brookston, died at 1:30 AM Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, in her home. Born Dec. 23, 1917, in Lafayette to the late Edward E. and Emily Florence Penrod Hathaway, she was a life resident of Lafayette.
She married Jesse R. Cullum on March 23, 1936, in Lafayette, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Ray Cullum (wife: Beverly), with whom she resided in Brookston, and Jerry Eugene Cullum of Lafayette; and two sisters, Lila Brummett (husband: Brice) of Grants Pass, OR, and Catherine Leach of Portland, OR. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
