Oliver Bagby arrived in the United States from Santos, Brazil on the ship, Byron in 1911 in New York, to attend University in Texas.
After attending University for (8) years, just when a rare medical career on the mission field in Brazil opened up before him, became an open wound in his parents' hearts which found relief in the Spirit of God alone. Within one year of graduation from Galveston, Texas Medical College he suddenly walked away from the school campus on February 19, 1919, leaving two trunks of personal belongings neatly packed.
