Ruth E. Dixon Aliff, 92 of Coal City went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Born August 24, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Sally Douglas McDaniel Dixon.
Ruth attended the Cranberry Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband William Aliff and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, William Dixon and wife Beulah of Newport News, VA; nephews, Gary Dixon, Ricky Dixon and wife Erin all of Newport News, VA, Jerry Dixon and wife Barbara of Titusville, FL, Charlie Cardaro of Winston Salem, NC, Douglas Dixon of Titusville, FL, Jeremy Dixon of Titusville, FL and niece, Dreama Cardaro of Winston Salem, NC.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 27, 2013 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Roger E. Pauley officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family from 1 – 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
