WAYNE PAUL METCALF

MARS HILL - Wayne Paul Metcalf, 66, of Route 2 Mars Hill, N.C. died unexpectedly at his home Thursday, January 23, 1975.

He was a lifelong Madison County resident and a retired farmer. He was the son of the late Marion Lee Metcalf and Theodisia "Rosie" Treadaway Metcalf.

He was survived by his wife, Nora Lee Riddle Metcalf; two foster sons, Gurney McMahan of Mars Hill, N.C. and Charles Honeycutt of Fort Pierce, Florida; two sisters, Miss Dorothy Metcalf and Mrs. Mack Allen of Mars Hill, N.C.; two brothers, Virgil and Donald Metcalf of Mars Hill, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 1975 in Terry's Fork Free Will Baptist Church where he was a member. The Revs. Frances Radford, Claude Bradley and Donald Blakeman officiated. The Men's Bible Class of the church were pallbearers. Burial was in Tildon Metcalf Cemetery. Capps Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

MARS HILL - Wayne Paul Metcalf, 66, of Route 2 Mars Hill, N.C. died unexpectedly at his home Thursday, January 23, 1975.
