Ambrose Teague Married Sarah Emaline Payne, Greatgrandfather& greatgrandmother were great christians!! Beulah Baptist Church, Leicester, NC began in their old grain building and later they gave land (1901)for the first church and the cemetery. This church blew down. He also gave the land for the first Teague School which his son James Robert Teague taught(my grandfather)school. The schoolhouse land was later purchased from the Buncombe Co Board Of Education by the members to build the Present Beulah Baptist Church and Fellowship Hall. Of course it has been remodeled several times first added bathrooms and got rid of outhouses then built on to hold larger congregation then the fellowship Hall. The present cemetery is still located on the Land given in 1901 Several Teague's including Ambrose's sons were involved as deacons as well as grandchildren later and great grandchildren, gggrandchildren ---- in the church.
