wife of George McDuffie who she married in 1829 and daughter of Charlotte Videau (Ashby)and Richard Singleton. She finished her education at Madame Grelaud's Seminary in Philadelphia as did her younger half sister Angelica Van Buren. They had one daughter Mary Singleton McDuffie born in 1830 who survived her.
