Laurinburg…..Michael Wayne Bennett Sr. age 45, of Laurinburg, NC passed away February 25, 2013 at his mother's home. Mr. Bennett was born October 31, 1967 a son of Mrs. Hattie Calhoun and the late Claude Henry Bennett Sr. He was predeceased by one step brother James Hugh Calhoun II. Surviving in addition to his mother Mrs. Hattie Calhoun and step father James Calhoun of Conway are one son, Michael Wayne Bennett Jr. of Laurinburg, NC, two step sons, Ralph Lawrence, Gimmiylee Lawrence both of Rockingham, NC, one step daughter, Miranda Lawrence of Charlotte, NC, one brother Claude Henry Bennett Jr. Of Gibson, NC, one sister, Claudale Driggers of Laurinburg, NC, two step sisters, Cindy Prevatte of Florida, Amy Ingram of Portsmouth, Virginia, and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday February 28, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday March 1, 2013 at Gibson Cemetery. Memorials can be made in his memory to Langston Baptist Church, Imagine Fund, 763 Hwy. 905 Conway, SC 29526.
