Mr. Clayton Caulk, 57, of Finley in Taylor County, son of the late Mr. William Robert Caulk and Mrs. Delia Ann Sullivan Caulk, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 20, 1908. He died Monday morning at the Danville hospital after an eighteen months illness. Since early in life he has been a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Caulk was a Rural Mail Carrier for thirty-five years and was also owner and operator of the Caulk's Fishing Lakes, he was a progressive farmer and had been connected with heavy equipment for several years. He united in marriage to Miss _____ Knopp July 13, 1946. Besides his wife, he is also survived by two brothers: Dick Caulk and Omer Caulk both of Campbellsville; three half-brothers: Mr. J. I. Caulk, Mr. W. T. Blevins both of Campbellsville, Mr. Ira Blevins of Finley, Route 3; and a foster sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 15th in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Dr. J. Chester Badgett and Rev. Ralph Boots with burial in Good Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were Willard and Leland Caulk, Thomas, William, Ray, and Edwin Blevins. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, December 16, 1965
