ASHEBORO — Adrian Price Bell, 78, of 2031 Winter St., Asheboro, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Randolph Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Morris C. Bell and the Rev. Thurman Jenkins officiating. Burial, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard, will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a native of Clinton, a World War II U.S Army veteran, a retired employee of B.B. Walker Shoe Co. and of the Church of God faith.

Surviving are wife, Frances Marshburn Bell; daughters, Kathy B. Hicks and Joan B. Pittman, both of Asheboro, Sherry B. Brady of Sophia, Gloria Pace of Charlotte; sons, Jerry P. Bell of Mt. Airy, Adrian Dean Bell of Asheboro, Clarence R. Bell of Thomasville; sisters, Mozelle Hollingsworth of Franklinville, Eunice Brown of Jacksonville, Doris Batten of Asheboro, Barbara Ricks of Clinton; brothers, Lindell Ray "Junior" Bell of Asheboro, Morris Claxton Bell of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Saturday, other times at the home of Kathy Hicks, 999 Sherwood Ave., Asheboro.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Care Center at Cross Road Retirement, 1302 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, N.C. 27205 or a charity of the donor's choice.
