Gainesville – Jewel Estelle Vickers Eanotto, 96, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. Born in Burbank, FL, Jewel grew up and lived in Ft. McCoy for many years before moving to Ocala in the 1980's. In 2011 she moved to Gainesville to live with her daughter. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church of Ft. McCoy where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Genola Scroggin of Gainesville; granddaughters Camala Kuhl (Jeff) of Bronson and Laura Hutto (Roger) of Jasper; great-grandchildren Luke and Emily; and numerous nieces. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services – Ocala Chapel, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. A committal ceremony will follow the service at Ft. McCoy cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd Gainesville, FL 32606.
