Vietnam vet was ADESA driver, former baker


Interment will be in Mount Washington Cemetery for Lawrence "Larry" Edward Quillian Jr., 7473-11 Sharon-Mercer Road, Jefferson Township (Mercer 16137). He passed away unexpectedly at 1:59 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, in his home of natural causes. He was 66.

Mr. Quillian was born Aug. 27, 1940, in Sharon to Lawrence Edward Quillian Sr. and Anna Mae Moldovan Quillian.

He was a driver for five years at ADESA Pittsburgh Motors, Jackson Township, and previously was a baker at various bakeries in the Shenango Valley.

An Army veteran, he served as a private during the Vietnam conflict.

Larry enjoyed fishing.

His wife, the former Carol Spohn, whom he married June 29, 1975, survives at home in Jefferson Township.

Surviving are: a stepson, Charles and his wife Jan McIntyre, Sharon; three granddaughters, Kate Spohn, Angel McIntyre and Janet Arlene McIntyre; three sisters, Paulette and her husband Edward Lawler, Mercer; Bonnie Marie and her husband Gerald Miller, Niles, Ohio; and Frances Jean and her husband Jerry Pratt, Sharpsville; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Spohn, West Middlesex; and Robert Spohn, Sharon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home, 264 E. State St., Sharon 16146.
