Born to Stanley and Lillian McKnight on March 21, 1939, in Milford, Utah. Graduated from Beaver High School in 1957. Married Margaret Root on June 27, 1958, in the St. George LDS Temple. Employed as an Arctic Circle Operator from 1967-1972. Retired from the U of U Police Department in October of 1996 after 24 years of service. He enjoyed free-lance photography (Mike's Photo) and aside from his police work, he enjoyed working with the FBI and as a private security officer. An active member of the LDS church and was currently serving as a High Council member in the Taylorsville South Stake. Served many years as the ward clerk in the Taylorsville 28th Ward.
