Roger W. Collin, age 84, of rural New Holstein, died Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2013 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton after a 8 year battle with bone cancer.

He was born June 27, 1928 in the Town of New Holstein, son of the late Allen & Alvina (Krebsbach) Collin.

He was a 1946 graduate of New Holstein High School where he held the office of President of the FFA his senior year.

On May 27, 1950 he married Arlyne Winkel at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel.

Roger farmed in the Town of Schleswig and also worked for 23 years at Riesterer & Schnell as a bulk milk hauler. He purchased the milk route and continued until 1979. He later worked for Knowles Mfg, Glenbulah until his retirement in 1993.

Roger was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ.

He enjoyed camping, attending horse auctions in the upper Midwest, traveling, woodworking and working in his shop.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Arlyne of rural New Holstein, three sons; David (Mary) Collin, Kiel, Richard (Violet) Collin, New Holstein, Curt Collin. New Holstein and seven grandchildren: Amy (Tim) Moschkau, Nick Collin and fiance, Penny Atkinson, Chris (Kelly) Collin, Carrie Collin, Brian Scott, Jessica (Tyler) Sigl and Matthew Scott. He is further survived by his great grandchildren; twins, Sam & Lilly, Alexandra, twins, Chloe & Iantha, twins, Keira & Fiona, sonin- law, James Scott, Kiel, one brother, Dale (Maryann) Collin, New Holstein, his aunt, Johanna Anhalt, Sheboygan, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sandy Scott.

Funeral services for Roger will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel with Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Holstein City Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:45 pm when brief family rites will be held..

Roger's family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Michael Hetzner and the nurses and staff at Calumet Medical Center for the care given to him and his family.
