Richard J. Gorecki, 71 of Morganville, NJ, went home to be with the Lord in the loving arms of his wife Maureen and surrounded by his family. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he resided in Matawan before moving to Morganville 34 years ago. He was a 1965 graduate of Columbia University and a fraternity brother of Kappa Psi. Richard was a registered Pharmacist and a kind and thoughtful man who put others before himself. He co-founded a Pharmacy in Matawan with his best friend Michael Zareva, they named it Carter Drugs after Carterette, the New Jersey town they grew up in as childhood friends. He co-owned and operated Carter Drugs for almost 50 years and during his tenure as a Pharmacist, he invented Doc Richard Pain Cream. He also owned More-Rich Antiques and was an auctioneer for Morganville United Methodist Church for 21 years. Richard was born a catholic but his heart was in Morganville United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and bowler, playing in many national tournaments. He was also a card collector and attended various baseball card shows as a promoter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Maureen Gorecki of Morganville, five children, Rick Gorecki of Avenel, Tammie Huyler of Spotswood, Leah Burch and husband John of Mt. Laurel, Keith Donnelly of Morganville, and Doug Gorecki of Morganville, two brothers, Dennis Wasko of Linden and Joseph Wasko, two sisters, Gloria Wasko of Florida and Regina Wasko of Edison, his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Kellie, Caitlyn, best friend and business partner, Michael Zareva, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ. A funeral service will be held at Morganville United Methodist Church followed by interment in Marlboro Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
