John F. Huber III, 63, of Palatka, passed away suddenly Saturday, October 4, 2003.
He was a native of Warren, Ohio and had resided in Palatka since 1947. He graduated from Palatka High School in 1957. He had worked as a photographer for the Palatka Daily News and Jacksonville Journal. He also had a distinguished career with Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, Citizens National Bank and the Putnam County Teachers Credit Union. He was also a freelance photographer for many years. He was a longtime member of College Park Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon among many other responsibilities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Huber; and his granddaughter, Emily Ashley.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty Greene Huber; a son, ACC (AW) John F. Huber IV; daughters and sons-in-law, Christi and Bruce Bellamy; Julie and Jerome Ashley; grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Bellamy, Alexander Bellamy and Elizabeth Ashley; sisters, Patti (Charles) Williams and Peggy Mangum.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home of Palatka.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8 at College Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Beauchamp officiating.
Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
