Mr. Jonathan Wayne Chandler
(July 2, 1973 - January 23, 2013)

Jonathan Wayne Chandler, Sr., affectionately known as "Jon Jon" was born July 2, 1973 to Tommy Chandler Sr. and Julia Haley Chandler (the fourth of seven siblings). On January 23, 2013, after an extended period of illness, God called his soldier home for eternal rest. Jon Jon was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Renae Chandler, sister-in-law Pearlie Mae Simpson and brother-in-law Hawthorne Readus. Jon Jon was raised and educated in Huntsville, AL where he became a true friend to many. At an early age he confessed hope in Christ giving his life to the Lord and joined the Full Gospel Church of Deliverance.

On December 22, 1995 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Elois Langford and to this union five children were born. Jonathan and his family later became members of Covenant Ministries Church International where he served faithfully in various capacities until his home going. Jon Jon was a kind, faithful, loving and caring man who worked relentlessly to provide for his family. He was a former employee at Phoenix Industries on Redstone Arsenal as well as various other companies. Jon Jon was especially gifted and worked in the Flooring Industry; his expertise will be well remembered for the many outstanding contract services he provided. He had many hobbies, but he especially enjoyed fishing, studying the Word, talking to others about Christ, and encouraging them to go to church. Jon Jon had a giving heart and tried to help others in any way possible.

Remaining to cherish precious memories are his loving and devoted wife of seventeen years Elois Chandler; sons: Jonathan Wayne Chandler Jr., DeVonte Marquez Chandler, DeTravion Santrez Chandler, DeAndre Arnaz Chandler, DeJarvion Ternaz Chandler; a devoted daughter: DeAsha LaShay Chandler; all of Huntsville; Parents: Tommy Chandler and Julia Chandler; brothers: Quinton Chandler, Mark Chandler, Jimmy Chandler, and Tommy Jr. (Sylvia) Chandler and sister: Carrie Chandler all of Huntsville, AL; brothers-in-law: Robert Ford (CA), Tommy Langford, Jr., Billy Langford, Willie Langford; sisters-in-law; Mary Readus and Dorothy (Gary) Rowe; all of Huntsville, AL.
