Robert was the son of Gilbert and Johanna Marie nee Fry Langholff. Robert married Barbara E Cloake on Nov 3 1940 in Roseburg Oregon. In 1943 he entered the US Navy during WWII serving as a torpedo man aboard the USS Healy. Robert worked for Douglas Co Oregon as an engineer and bridge superindant. There is a bridge at Loon Lake in Oregon named in his honor after his retirement from Doulas Co. He was one of the first charter memebers of the First Conservative Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for over 40 years. He also served on the Salvation Army Board for several years.
