John was the son of Johann and Karoline nee Martin Kleinhans. He married Evelyn Wetzel on Dec 16 1933 in Fort Atkinson Jefferson Co Wisconsin. He came from Germany in 1919 and worked on the Jones Dairy Farm and the City of Fort Atkinson Parks Dept until his retirement. He was a member of St Paul's evangelical Lutheran Church, he was also a former secretery and past president of the Southern Wisconsin Northern Illinois Gladiola Assoc. He won many state and National awards.
