Antoinette M. Barry, 93, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the New Jersey Veterans Home in Paramus. "Toni" was born in Russellton, PA to Frank and Magdalena Virginis. She grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA and moved to Glen Ridge in 1952. Toni worked at Tung Sol Electric before retiring to Middletown and then Florida. A devout Catholic, Toni was actively involved in the Catholic Daughters, serving as Regent at Court Fulgen Corona, at St. Mary Mother of God Church in Middletown. She also was an avid reader, bridge player, and loved to cook for family and friends. She was devoted to her family and will always be remembered for the love, warmth & kindness she showered on her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
"Nanny" was the beloved wife of Eugene Barry for 65 years. She was predeceased by her first husband, the late Lawrence Sokolski. She is the loving mother of Patricia Crawley and her husband Thomas, John Barry and his wife Judith, and Ann Marie Rose and her husband William; her grandchildren, Sharon Crawley, Christopher Barry and his wife Deanna, Kevin Barry and his wife Deanna, Thomas Crawley and his wife Alessandra, Lawrence Crawley and his wife Terry, Pamela Rose-DeAndrea and her husband Joseph and William L. Rose III. She is also survived by her loving great-grandchildren, Landon Barry, Brooke Barry, Joey DeAndrea, Mason Crawley, Quinn Barry, Demeter Crawley, Layla Barry and Matthew DeAndrea. She was predeceased by her brothers, William and Frank Virginis; and sisters, Mary Sincavage, Dorothy Navin, Martha DeMarco & Stella Klosowski.
Visitation will be held at O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, NJ.
