NORTHPORT Harold E. “Pocket” Jones, age 68, of Northport, died Feb. 3, 2013, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Sedrest and Chaplain John Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Etta Jones; his brothers, Cecil, Mitchell, Dan, and David; his sister, Joyce Starnes; his previous wife, Pat; and his grandson, J.J. Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy M. Jones; his daughters, Kathy Schag (Mike), Kim Bridgeman (James), Melissa Mathews (Tony), Laura Cook (Lloyd), and Becky Cline (Mike); his sons, Richard Jones (Kellie), Joe Jones (Jessira), Jason Jones (Deidre), and Shaun Campbell (Kelley); his sister, Marie Bowling; his brother, Jerry Jones (Sarah); 26 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richie Jones, Bubba Bridgeman, E.J. Smith, Dustin Jones, Terry Jones, Carson Cline, Justin Schag, and Terry Nuckols.
