Dora "Jeni" Jean Almengor , caring wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on February 2, 2013 surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her father Bill Williams, mother Ellen England, sister Susie Evans, brothers Billy Williams and Meredith Williams. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Lazaro "Pelon" Almengor, three daughters Valerie Howell, Carmen Fite, Sara Almengor and their spouses, brother Richard Williams, sisters Nova Youngblood, Loninette Collins and Brenda Scott, grandchildren Anthony Fite, Hannah Campbell, Patrick Fite and Michael Fite and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and countless devoted friends.
Jeni enjoyed working as a Court Reporter for the City of Houston Municipal Court for 19 years prior to her retirement. Before becoming a court reporter, Jeni was employed as a nursing assistant as she enjoyed caring for people.
She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on November 30, 1946. She graduated from Pecos High School in 1965. She studied Court Reporting at Houston Community College and received her Certification as a Shorthand Reporter which she maintained until 2013.
