SAMUEL A. SHINGLEDECKER
Samuel Adam Shingledecker, 72, died Thursday at the home of his son, Arthur Shingledecker, in Clarion township, Clarion county.
He was born on August 14, 1871, in Clarion county, the son of Fulton and Anna Shingledecker. He was a farmer and had resided on a number of farms in Clarion and Jefferson counties. In May, 1895, he married Etta Stahlman, who preceded him in death on March 22, 1941/3(hard to read)
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Ruth Seigworth and Arthur Shingledecker of Clarion township, Lester Shingledecker of Youngstown, O., Merton Shingledecker of Imperial and Rev. Harold Shingledecker who is en route to the Belgian Congo as a missionary; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the home of his son, Arthur, on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Mohnkorn, pastor of the Strattanville Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in the Windy Hill cemetery, Jefferson county.
