Graveside services for Thomas "John" Johnson Selby, 78, of Dayton Avenue, Crossville, who passed away Aug. 29, 1998, were held Aug. 31 from Crossville City Cemetery.
The Rev. Tom Farmer officiated.
Survivors include his wife, Rushie Hedgecoth Selby of Crossville; daughter, Alma J. Selby Adcox of Crossville; son, Estel Selby of Crossville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
He was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Cumberland County, the son of William Thomas and Delilah Jane Hall Selby. Mr. Selby was retired from the City of Crossville Water Department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
