John Acker, 53 a former resident of Keyport, died Thursday, November 26, 1953, at the Monmouth County Welfare Home, Freehold.

He was born in South Carolina, the son of the late Lank Acker and Clarisi (Latimer) Acker.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs Lola Brownlee, of Red Bank, Mrs Madie Mancle of Holmdel and Mrs Maggie Magee of Matawan; two brothers Charles of Easton, Md., and Frank of Greenville, S.C.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the Second Baptist Church, Matawan with the Rev. W.J. Hutcheson, pastor, officiating.

Interment under the direction of the Bedle Funeral Home. Burial was in Midway Green Cemetery, Matawan.
