AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Coleman A. Carpenter, Sr., husband of the late Frances E. Carpenter, of 15th Street entered into rest Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the residence. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. George C. Miller III officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery. He was a native of Augusta, GA; an Insurance Agent for over 25 years; owned and operated a local trucking company; a band known as The Rock and Roll Kings , Carpenter s Furniture Company and Carpenter s Upholstery and Refinishing. Survivors are 3 loving children, Saundra C. Trower (Charles), Coleman A. Carpenter, Jr., (Christine), William T. Carpenter (Jeannette); brother, William Carpenter, Jr., (Artie); sister, Willie Mae Milligan; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.
