Ellen Adamkowski, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 28, 1942 in Jersey City. She worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist at Ocean County College for 25 years. She was a beautiful and loving soul, full of compassion and always filling the room with laughter. She loved to travel, shop, and most of all to be with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She always had a positive attitude and made sure those around her were happy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Theodore; her children, Theodore Adamkowski Jr., Cheryl Stephens and her husband Tom, Michele Hanlon and her husband Brian, and Christine Conklin and her husband Richard; her sisters, Barbra Godleski, and Sharon Stiso and her husband Nicholas; her grandchildren, Cassandra Roth and husband Brian, Tommy, and Angela Stephens, Molly, Maggie, Luke, Declan, and May Hanlon, and numerous nieces and nephews. "Gang-gang" will be greatly missed and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Services will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Justin the Martyr R.C. Church, 975 Fischer Blvd., Toms River, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
