Dwain Line Crowson of Leavenworth Kansas died at home with his family on 27 July at 2:00 AM after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 67 years old. Born on January 27th, 1945 in Burbank California to Ernest Jackson (Tommy) Crowson and Athlene Louise Line,Dwain married Patricia Ann Wendlerof La Mirada California on January 27th, 1967 after completing an enlistment in the United States Army.Late,he reenlisted in the Army, completed Officer Candidate School, and retired after 32 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked for over twelve years as an analyst at Fort Leavenworth, first at the Battle Command Training Program and later the Mission Command Training Program. An avid RVer, HAM radio operator and traveler, he made friends across the world and left behind a network of friends and extended family. Dwain and Pat celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in January and remained together to the end. He is survived by his wife Pat; children Thom, Rob, Jym and Sarah; daughters in law Christa and Mandie, and Grandchildren Alex, Hannah, and Annabelle as well as his foster parents John and Phyllis Langer of Ravenna NY and foster siblings John B. Langer, Jane Feeney, Susan Spindler, Becky Meddleton and their families.
