Mrs. Shelton was born May 24, 1927 in Madison County where she lived all her life and attended Carmen Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stokley and Mable Shelton Cutshall; husband, Hobert "Bug" Shelton; and a son, Whitsel Eugene Shelton.
Surviving are her daughters, Edna Harris, of Erwin, TN, Brenda Figgins, of Marshall; son, Michael Shelton, of Marshall; stepson, Fred Shelton, of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Timothy Harris, Pamela Roosa, Robert Figgins, Brandi Silvers, Alvis Shelton, Jody Gragg and several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kendall Silvers, Seth Sherman, Julia McNabb, Camden Figgins and Gabe Roosa; one great-grandchild, Eliza Sherman; brother, Gladson Cutshall; Godson, Curry Jones; and very special friends, Chipper, Donna, Tori and Bre Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 15th, in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Dean Hensley officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Stokley Cutshall Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
