Martha Lee Boyd, longtime area resident, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at her home in Claremore. She was 82 years of age. Martha was born August 3, 1930 in Tulsa to Delbert and Norma (Reed) Griffith. She was raised and received her education in Owasso. Martha lived her life in the Owasso – Collinsville area, spending the last few years in Claremore. Martha spent many happy hours playing cards and being with family.
Those that survive include her children – Mike Boyd and wife Annette of Skiatook and Peggy Crose and husband Bill of Claremore; seven grandchildren – Micah Boyd of Collinsville, Guy Chatellier and wife Amy of Claremore, Billy Crose and wife Elizabeth of Claremore, Jodie Crose of Stillwater, Lauren Beaston of Tulsa, Sara Boyd and Shannon Boyd, both of Skiatook; and six great grandchildren with another due in July. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Regina.
Memorial services for Martha will be held at the graveside on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Collinsville with Pastor Dwayne Thompson officiating.
