Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church in Rice, MN. Alex Langer, age 67, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 11. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice and one hour prior to the services Saturday, also at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Alex Langer was born December 5, 1945 in Little Falls to Alexander J. and Lucille (Madigan) Langer, Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. Alex married Linda Korman on September 7, 1968 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Elmdale, MN. As a child, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, a passion that continued on through adulthood. Alex was an avid outdoorsman and spent many hours on the Mississippi River, fishing and boating with family and friends. He was a member and volunteer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Royalton American Legion Post #137. Alex was a man with a gentle spirit and truly understood what matters most in life.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, of Rice; son and daughters, Steve (Teresa) Langer, of Grand Rapids, Sarah (Chris) Greene, of Evanston, IL, and Laura (Joe) Scegura, of Alexandria; sisters and brother, Carol (Bill) Hodorff, of Hastings, Pat (Paul) Witucki, of Detroit Lakes, Judy (Denny) Psick, of Amery, WI, and Jim (Lynda) Langer, of Ramsey; grandchildren, Madeline, Gabrielle, Valerie Langer, Alexander Greene, and Emilia Scegura; father in law, Joe Korman.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie; mother in law, Angie Korman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Minnesota Conservation Volunteer are appreciated.
