Miss Julia Frances "Miss Tip" Mealing died Friday, Dec 8, 1993 at the Anne Maria Nursing Home. She was 97.
The funeral will be a 2:30 p.m. Monday at J. M. Posey and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Miss Mealing, a native of North Augusta, had retired as a school teacher at Martha Lester Elementary. She was also the former owner and operator of Woodland Kindergarten. She graduated from Winthrop College and received her master's degree at the University of Georgia. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, the North Augusta Historical Society, Sheffield Club, Daughters of American Revolution and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at J. M. Posey and Sons Funeral Home.
