49 year old Austrian-born figure skating coach of the Jenkins's brothers Hays, Alan and David, and many others. Taught for years at the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado after participating in international competition. He died along with his son James, other family members, coaches, judges and the entire US Figure Skating Team in a plane crash while en route to the 1961 Worlds Firgure Skating Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. In 1976 he ws inducted into the World Hall of Fame of Figure Skating.
