Last week The Dial chronicled the death of Mrs. F.C.O. Muenich which occurred at the family residence in Argyle Sunday, Jan. 31st.
Anna Nauert was a native of Boscobel, born May 4, 1877, and here she passed from laughing childhood to smiling girlhood. Jan. 23, 1901, she was united in marriage to Mr. Muenich and he with four sons and one daughter mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. The children are Francis, Herbert, Malcomb, Marjorie and Jerome.
Memory of deceased will also be cherished by her aged mother, Mrs. W.J.F. Nauert of this city, six sisters and two brothers: Mrs. A.M. Heller, Mrs. Ted Martin and Mrs. Fred Scheinpflug of Boscobel, Mrs. Paul Robinson of Sun Prairie, Mrs. Guy Campbell of Grand Island, Neb. Mrs. Clara Wilkinson of Omaha, Will J. Nauert of Boscobel and John J. of Wauzeka.
Mrs. Muenich had been in failing health for several weeks, but relatives and friends here were not aware of her serious condition until recently. All that medical skill could do was done to combat the dread disase, but of no avail. The patient rapidly weakened and in the evening of Jan. 31st tired nature gave up the struggle and as peacefully as a tired child she sank into the last, long sleep.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning following at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Argyle, with the resident priest, Rev. A.J. Goetzman in charge. He was assisted by Rev. E.S. Muenich of Stratton, Col. and Rev. Leo McDonnell of Darlington. Interment followed in Calvary cemetery there.
