Bruce Brown, age 82 of Connersville, passed away on Thursday July 20, 2006 at Fayette Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past 5 months. Born on January 5, 1924 the son of Charles and Elizabeth Fowler Brown, he was a lifelong resident of Connersville and Fayette County. He graduated from Orange High School and in 1942 and married Wanda Lee Stacy on June 18, 1949. He worked at Design and Manufacturing for years. He is survived by his wife Wanda Lee of 57 years, daughters, Winifred King of Newburgh, IN and Stacy P. and Pell Wadleigh of Page, AZ; one son, Kenneth R. Brown, of Westfield, IN; five grandchildren, Erin, Caitlin, Justin, and Meagan King and Zachary Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wallace Brown and a sister Elinor Devening. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday July 23, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Nicola and Rev. Eugene Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Saturday evening from 4-8 pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home. The Connersville Lions Club will assemble at 7:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
