Dorothy Anne Otteman Powley Hamilton was born Jan. 14, 1919, and passed away peacefully Dec. 22, 2012, after a 93-year battle with age.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Ron Powley, Larry and Sharon Powley, Tom and Vonnie Powley, and Eldon Powley, sisters Bev Slaughter, Joanne Brehmer, and Mylet Mcgath, and brothers Merlin Otteman and Richard Otteman. She will be missed greatly by her five grandchildren Shelly Thorpe, Eric Powley, Marcus Powley, Jill Russel and Stephanie Dahm, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Carl and Hannah Otteman, husband Earl Powley, husband Don Hamilton, siblings Ralph Otteman, Harold Otteman, Norma Speulda, Carl Otteman Jr., and Bill Otteman, son Steve Powley, and daughter-in-law Vicki Powley.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at the family reunions. She was an avid crafter and made numerous quilts and stuffed animals for her family. She received her LPN degree at Northeastern Nebraska College and worked at Pender Community Hospital.
